United North infill holes return up to 10.30m at 12.46g/t gold as ore drives advance
Rox Resources Limited (ASX:RXL) has reported further underground diamond drilling results from United North at its wholly owned Youanmi Gold Mine in Western Australia, alongside extensions of two ore drives beyond the definitive feasibility study (DFS) design.
The strongest new drilling intervals reported include:
UNN26_018: 10.30 metres at 12.46g/t gold from 184.70 metres, including 1.56 metres at 43.42g/t from 185.00 metres and 3.93 metres at 14.37g/t from 191.07 metres.
UNN26_013: 9.77 metres at 11.17g/t gold from 229.86 metres, including 5.07 metres at 19.17g/t from 232.93 metres.
UNN26_019: 6.98 metres at 13.93g/t gold from 187.40 metres, including 2.40 metres at 19.52g/t from 190.00 metres.
UNN26_019: a separate 2.80-metre interval at 13.20g/t gold from 175.00 metres, including 1.00 metre at 33.10g/t from 176.00 metres.
These are reported down-hole intervals. Rox says the underground intercepts approximate true widths, based on its interpretation of the mineralisation and drill orientation.

Rox completed 19 United North underground diamond holes totalling 3,326 metres in August. The company says the 2356 and 2341 mRL ore drives have extended about 125 metres farther along strike than the DFS design, and preparations are under way for production stoping in the coming weeks. The drilling and ore-drive observations are distinct; a drive extension is not an assay result.
Rox Resources managing director and CEO Phill Wilding:
Underground infill drilling at United North continues to deliver significant high-grade results, confirming, and in some areas growing, the resource while also further derisking delivery from the high-grade Youanmi ore system.
With the initial two levels developed and significantly beyond the original DFS mine plan, the teams are now preparing the updated geology grade control models ahead of production stoping works commencing in coming weeks.
The surface ore stockpile is also growing with development progressing ahead of plan, reinforcing Rox’s ability to hit the targeted commissioning stockpile of 190,000t at 3.3g/t gold set in the DFS.
These results reaffirm what we already knew about Youanmi’s growing potential as a very high-grade gold system. Coupled with the growth drilling program now underway from surface, this activity provides further confidence in our aspiration of becoming a 150,000ozpa operation in future years.
