WIDE, SHALLOW GOLD HITS DRIVE RED BIRD MOMENTUM

Maiden drilling confirms strong near-surface mineralisation in Arizona

SQX Resources Limited (ASX:SQX) has reported encouraging first assay results from its maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Red Bird Gold Project in Arizona, highlighting a broad, shallow gold system with continuity from surface.

The initial batch of results, covering 8 of 25 completed drill holes, confirms consistent near-surface mineralisation, with vertical continuity demonstrated to at least 60 metres depth. The results support the potential for bulk-tonnage, open-pittable gold resources.

Standout intercepts include:

  • 42.7m @ 1.4g/t Au from 4.6m, including 9.1m @ 3.9g/t Au (RBRC012)
  • 45.7m @ 1.3g/t Au from 4.6m, including 13.7m @ 2.2g/t Au (RBRC013)
  • 16.8m @ 2.9g/t Au from 41.1m, including 6.1m @ 5.2g/t Au (RBRC020)
  • 27.4m @ 1.0g/t Au from 15.2m, including 6.1m @ 2.0g/t Au (RBRC010)
  • 19.8m @ 1.1g/t Au from 4.6m (RBRC014)

The company noted that the results reinforce the scale and geometry of the mineralised system, with wide intercepts beginning close to surface. Assays for the remaining 17 drill holes are expected in the coming weeks.

Looking ahead, SQX plans to undertake an induced polarisation (IP) geophysical survey to identify additional targets both at depth and along strike, aimed at expanding the known mineralised footprint.

SQX Executive Director, Dr Julian Stephens

These results demonstrate excellent grade continuity and confirm significant near-surface, potentially open-pittable mineralisation. With our maiden drilling program now concluded, we look forward to further assay results to define the potential at Red Bird. After this, we plan a significant IP (induced polarisation) survey to determine possible depth and strike extension targets for future drill testing.
