WARATAH MINERALS ANNOUNCES IMPRESSIVE GOLD RESULTS FROM SPUR EAST

7m @ 16.78g/t Au from 154m

Waratah Minerals Limited (ASX: WTM) is pleased to announce results from the first two holes of an ongoing RC drill program at the Spur Project, Lachlan Fold Belt, New South Wales.

Drilling has identified an open zone of shallow high-grade gold mineralisation.

Key results include:

  • SPRC002: 11m @ 10.82g/t Au, 0.12% Cu from 154m, including 7m @ 16.78g/t Au, 0.18% Cu from 154m, and 69m @ 0.49g/t Au from 28m.

Early results confirm potential for significant shallow gold resources with grades increasing with depth. Additional holes are planned to follow up on these results and further expand the RC drilling program. High-resolution ground magnetic and gravity data acquisition is underway to assist drill hole vectoring within the large epithermal-porphyry system.

Waratah Managing Director, Peter Duerden, said:

These exceptional results point to the fertility of the Spur epithermal-porphyry system and highlight the potential to define near surface high-grade gold resources. Each drillhole is increasing our confidence in the exploration strategy and we look forward to updating our shareholders with further RC results in the near term.
