TUMBLEGUM WEST DRILLING EXTENDS SHALLOW GOLD MINERALISATION

Step-out hole hits high-grade intercept 120m west of main Tumblegum South zone

Star Minerals Limited (ASX:SMS) has reported shallow gold mineralisation from step-out drilling at its Tumblegum South Gold Project in Western Australia, located 120 metres west of known high-grade lodes.

Recent drilling has intersected gold at shallow depths in multiple holes, including:

2m @ 4.20 g/t Au from 4m in hole TGRC068, including 1m at 7.76 g/t Au from 4m
5m @ 2.12 g/t Au from 11m in TGRC068, including 1m at 5.29 g/t Au from 12m
2m @ 5.28 g/t Au from 48m in TGRC081, including 1m at 10.0 g/t Au from 49m
5m @ 1.85 g/t Au from 15m in TGRC080, including 2m at 3.66 g/t Au from 15m

These new results follow previous standout intercepts from close spacing infill drilling, which included:

5m @ 30.91 g/t Au from 21m in TGRC055, including 2m at 75.45 g/t Au from 21m
5m @ 10.85 g/t Au from 5m in TGRC046, including 2m at 25.65 g/t Au from 6m
7m @ 3.28 g/t Au from 28m in TGRC048, including 1m at 13.40 g/t Au from 29m
12m @ 2.64 g/t Au from 4m in TGRC049, including 2m at 11.23 g/t Au from 5m
8m @ 6.96 g/t Au from 17m in TGRC050, including 2m at 20.05 g/t Au from 17m

The latest round of RC drilling completed in July consisted of 38 holes for a total of 2,032m, with 23 holes designed to inform pit optimisation studies and the remainder targeting extensions.

5m at around an ounce of gold per tonne was always going to be hard to beat from the infill drilling, but the shallow intersection in the western step out hole 120m away from the main area confirms significant gold grades on a similar structure has the potential of a pit extension increasing the current resource. Drill planning to test this mineralisation down plunge is underway, and we remain on track for the mining approvals submission in September and production Q1 next year.
