TRIDENT GOLD RESERVE RISES TO 524,000 OUNCES

Probable reserve reaches 524,000 ounces at 4.2g/t; first underground ore expected in 2027

Catalyst Metals Limited (ASX:CYL) has increased the underground Ore Reserve at its Trident gold deposit on Western Australia’s Plutonic Gold Belt to 524,000 ounces at 4.2g/t gold. That is a 32% increase on the previous reserve, according to the company.

The updated reserve comprises 3.9 million tonnes, all classified as Probable. Catalyst reports no Proved Ore Reserve at Trident. The estimate is dated 1 July 2026 and uses a gold price of A$4,500 an ounce.

Trident’s separate Mineral Resource, updated in June, stands at 6.2 million tonnes at 5.4g/t gold for 1.081 million ounces. It includes 448,000 ounces classified as Inferred. Resources are inclusive of reserves, so the two ounce figures should not be added together; no Inferred material is included in the Ore Reserve.

Catalyst says about 250 metres of underground development has been completed and expects first underground ore in calendar 2027. Its plan envisages a mine life of around ten years at a steady-state annual rate of 60,000 to 80,000 ounces. Those are forward-looking plans, not current Trident production. Further infill drilling is intended to test whether more of the Inferred resource can be upgraded.
