The fear with Gold was always this: what if there was easy money available—would that affect the Gold price? Well, the answer to that question is YES. With Bitcoin climbing so fast in 2024, it created so much wealth, so quickly, that punters could not believe it.
“What do I do with all this money?” they cried! The solid answer was: buy Gold.
So that’s what they did. They bought, and they bought, and they bought. This, however, created a Gold price surge no one could quite believe. Miners, traders, punters—none of them could believe that a coin with no real intrinsic value like Bitcoin could outshine Gold.
This dilemma of “an out-of-control Gold price” created an opportunity for the real money: the big share traders, fund managers, and hedge funds. What an opportunity! But when do the shorters strike?
This opportunity was made in heaven for these guys. But now it’s a game of “Who has the biggest balls?”
In business, there’s always an entry and an exit price. Two bulls now intertwined, only one can win—or both will lose. It’s reached the stage of equilibrium. Who will move first?
The margin number for Bitcoin is $3,000 an ounce (the current supply-and-demand price is now $2,500–$3,000 an ounce).
Possibilities, Not Probabilities
Gold sellers (shorts): if they continue to push down the yellow metal to, say, $2,250–$2,500, the selling of Bitcoin will increase by 25–50%, putting maximum downward pressure on Bitcoin to $80,000. It dies.
No matter how long you’ve been a player in the markets, everyone fears crash and burn. It comes in cycles and arrives unexpectedly. Only the grey-haired players know what that is—and they’re getting greyer by the hour.
This cycle of madness, we all know, is not sustainable.
So what is my prediction?
Bitcoin will get sold down as Gold is shorted, and the Bitcoin money will get converted to Gold. This may settle when Bitcoin is at $75,000 and Gold is at $3,000.
The harder the Bitcoin job gets, inverted to Gold, the more pressure there will be on the shorters to either continue pushing the Gold price down or cover their positions because the pressure becomes too great. Either way, there are going to be massive losses for some.
Because of the Christmas period, we all know that players normally relax, but this Christmas, there will be more action than ever before. I can smell it.
Outspoken US economist Harry Dent has forecast a “Crash of a Lifetime” for stocks in 2025.
My Prediction
The market is a bit like a pandemic. Once one person gets frightened they may catch the virus, we all start wearing masks and washing our hands. We panic.
The crash coming for Bitcoin—well, not a crash, but a reset—will result in money flowing from selling Bitcoin to reinvest in Gold, creating a “money pandemic.”
And then, what happens, you may ask?
The answer is: it will start again.
Bitcoin down, Gold up.
In the short term.
