TENNANT CREEK 2024 DRILLING

King River Resources Targets High-Grade Copper and Gold

King River Resources Limited (ASX:KRR) has updated its 2024 drilling strategy, announcing plans to probe new geophysical targets at the Langrenus area, previously known as the Lonestar trend. In 2023, the company dedicated $2M for drilling, pinpointing targets across several projects including Tennant Creek East, Rover East, Kurundi, and Barkly. These projects align with existing geophysical and geological patterns linked to known high-grade copper and gold deposits, such as Rover, Bluebird, and Mauretania.

The upcoming RC drilling campaign is set to kick off next week at Tennant Creek East, with an initial phase of drilling three main areas starting at Commitment area and then moving to the Providence area. This initial phase involves 10 holes totalling 1,500m, designed to further investigate the findings from last year’s drilling that uncovered notable ironstone, alteration, and structural features. Results from the 1,700 samples collected in 2023 are still pending, which will inform future drilling phases throughout the year as the team continues to analyse last year’s extensive geophysical survey data.
