Saturn Metals Reports Strong RC Drilling Results
Saturn Metals Limited (ASX:STN) has announced significant reverse circulation (RC) drilling results from its Apollo Hill Gold Project, highlighting the mineral resource potential of the Apollo Hill Mineral Resource area.
Key intersections include:
- 11m @ 2.39g/t Au from 158m, including 26m @ 1.27g/t Au from 155m – AHRC1009
- 45m @ 1.04g/t Au from 190m, within 89m @ 0.74g/t Au from 146m – AHRC1010
- 13m @ 1.34g/t Au from 118m, including 26m @ 0.74g/t Au from 117m – AHRC1013
- 8m @ 1.59g/t Au from surface – AHRC1015
- 14m @ 1.08g/t Au from 72m – AHRC1008
These intersections demonstrate mineralisation continuity across the deposit and suggest localised grade enhancements.
The results will contribute to a future resource estimate for the Apollo Hill project, with Saturn planning a bulk tonnage heap leach prefeasibility study anticipated for mid to late 2025. Additionally, Saturn is progressing with an interim resource upgrade of the 1.84Moz Apollo Hill deposit, expected later in 2024, incorporating results from recent drilling activities.
The latest data come from eight drill holes, totalling 2,399m of assays, with further assays pending from 47 holes over 7,100m. An additional 31,000m of drilling is underway, utilising three RC rigs and a diamond rig.
Ian Bamborough, Managing Director of Saturn Metals, stated:
Results illustrated in Figure 1 show how the Apollo Hill deposit continues to develop, grow and upgrade with infill drilling. We look forward to reporting additional rounds of drill results as we proceed through our largest and most exciting drill program at the Apollo Hill Project to date.
