RC drilling at Georgetown Project delivers standout gold hits
Savannah Goldfields Limited (ASX:SVG) has reported high-grade assay results from five Reverse Circulation (RC) holes drilled at the Red Dam Prospect, part of the company’s Georgetown Gold Project in North Queensland.
A total of 648 metres were drilled across five holes during the November 2025 campaign, all of which intersected notable gold mineralisation within the Red Dam structure. The best result came from hole RD25RC1044, with:
- 3m @ 14.86 g/t Au from 104m
Other strong intercepts included:
- 2m @ 17.21 g/t Au from 104m (RD25RC1046)
- 4m @ 8.70 g/t Au from 127m (RD25RC1047)
- 1m @ 8.88 g/t Au from 91m (RD25RC1043)
- 2m @ 3.59 g/t Au from 106m (RD25RC1045)
These RC holes were designed to test the down-dip continuity of the Red Dam structure and followed a diamond drilling program aimed at collecting core for metallurgical test work. The results from the diamond drilling were previously released to the ASX on 18 December 2025.
Brad Sampson, CEO of Savannah, said:
We are very encouraged by these results from Red Dam. The results indicate that the Red Dam gold mineralisation extends at depth well beyond the current pit limits and validates the Inferred Mineral Resource model. We intend to update the Mineral Resource ahead of undertaking further exploration at Red Dam.
