SANTANA MINERALS REPORTS EXPANSION IN DRILLING AT COME-IN-TIME (CIT)

New Drilling Results Enhance Gold Potential

Santana Minerals Limited (ASX:SMI) has updated on the reverse circulation drilling campaign at the Come-In-Time deposit, noting significant potential expansion. The most recent drilling phase covered 17 new RC holes over 876 meters, focusing on the down-plunge extension of surface mineralization.

Drilling Highlights Include:

  • Elevated gold grades, with notable intercepts over a 260-meter down-plunge stretch.
  • Results range from 0.5g/t to 3.4g/t gold, with intercepts like 13m at 2.7g/t Au and 15m at 1.5g/t Au, indicating a potential increase in the known mineralized corridor.

The collected data is under review to assess the scope of mineralization. The previous mineral resource estimate by Wildfire Resources estimated 1.2Mt at 1.5g/t for 59,000oz at a 0.5g/t Au cut-off, all within the Inferred Resource category. The new drilling results are poised to build upon this base, potentially leading to a revised resource estimation.
