Far East Gold Ltd Continues to Discover High-Grade Gold and Silver at Woyla Project
Far East Gold Ltd (ASX:FEG) is excited to announce promising outcomes from its latest six drillholes, RRD035 to RRD040, part of the Phase 2 drilling at the Rek Rinti site. These new drill results extend the Pertama vein by an additional 235 meters southwest, following high-grade gold and silver findings from prior drilling efforts.
Key highlights include previous intercepts such as RRD027 (1.7m at 4.74g/t Au, 53.82g/t Ag or 5.39g/t AuEq from 78 – 79.7m; including 0.4m at 15.93g/t Au, 108g/t Ag or 17.23g/t AuEq from 79.3m), RRD028 (2.2m at 7.44g/t Au, 40.6g/t Ag or 7.93g/t AuEq from 103.2 – 105.4m; including 0.7m at 14.27g/t Au, 87g/t Ag or 15.32g/t AuEq from 104.7m), and RRD034 (5.9m at 5.9 g/t Au, 37.63 g/t Ag or 6.35 g/t AuEq from 87.2-93.1m; including 0.9m at 32.65 g/t Au, 117 g/t Ag or 34.06 g/t AuEq from 87.2m).
In this latest drilling, the best intercepts included:
- RRD037 revealed significant sections of 9.7m at 1.96g/t Au, 9.94g/t Ag or 2.08g/t AuEq from 183.8m, including 4.5m at 3.26g/t Au, 9.93g/t Ag or 3.39g/t AuEq from 188m, and a high-grade zone of 1m at 8.09g/t Au, 17.8g/t Ag or 8.3g/t AuEq from 190m.
- RRD038 featured 0.95m at 0.93g/t Au, 66.36g/t Ag or 1.1g/t AuEq from 181.2m, including 0.55m at 1.45g/t Au, 83g/t Ag or 2.44g/t AuEq from 181.2m.
- RRD039 delivered multiple intercepts including 4.1m at 0.98g/t Au, 43.66g/t Ag or 1.51g/t AuEq from 157.4m, and 1.60m at 1.58g/t Au, 43.3g/t Ag or 2.10g/t AuEq from 176.3m.
- RRD040 highlighted a section of 0.7m at 4.16g/t Au, 7.5g/t Ag or 4.25g/t AuEq at a shallow depth of 54.5m.
The program has successfully confirmed the continuation of the gold-bearing vein structures both along strike and down dip. With the Pertama vein now traced over a 500m strike, and still open for further expansion, the potential for discovering additional high-grade mineralization appears promising. Far East Gold Ltd plans to reassess these results to refine their geological models and determine future drilling targets within the Rek Rinti vein system.
