RACETRACK DELIVERS BONANZA-GRADE GOLD

Pantoro confirms a high-grade zone extending more than 350 metres along strike near the OK underground mine

Pantoro Gold Limited (ASX:PNR) has reported further high-grade results from infill drilling at the Racetrack discovery within its 100%-owned Norseman Gold Project in Western Australia.

The second phase of drilling confirmed continuity of a high-grade zone over more than 350 metres of strike, from near surface to about 600 metres depth. Pantoro said the zone remained open to the east and down dip.

Selected results included:

  • 4.94m at 349.14g/t gold from 603.02m, including 0.91m at 1,737.37g/t from 603.02m and 0.43m at 80.67g/t from 607.53m
  • 20.36m at 15.55g/t gold from 576.29m, including 5.94m at 43.1g/t from 580.5m
  • 3.53m at 34.44g/t gold from 496.72m, including 2.88m at 41.87g/t from 496.72m
  • 7.05m at 8.82g/t gold from 388.2m, including 0.36m at 55.9g/t and 0.48m at 56.18g/t
  • 1.85m at 11.62g/t gold from 522.33m

Racetrack is interpreted as a cross-link structure comparable with the Bullen lode, which produced more than 500,000 ounces between 1985 and 2000. The discovery lies about 600 metres north of the OK underground mine and existing infrastructure.

Pantoro’s 2027 financial-year budget includes an exploration drive from the upper levels of the OK decline. Preliminary planning for underground access and infrastructure is under way while drilling continues to test the high-grade zone.

Pantoro Gold managing director Paul Cmrlec:

Racetrack is shaping up as a very high-grade structure with some of the widest intercepts we have seen at Norseman to date. Grades encountered are similar to those seen at the Bullen deposit, however early drilling suggests greater lode widths. Bullen produced over 500,000 ounces between 1985 and 2000 at a mined grade of approximately 10 g/t, and remains open at depth.

Just 600 metres from the OK Decline, Racetrack can be developed with minimal additional infrastructure requirements and mined independently once dedicated ventilation circuits are established. Preliminary planning for access is already underway.

The drill program continues with multiple rigs in action and our geology team is focused on expanding the high-grade zone and bringing this exciting discovery to production as soon as possible.
