QUEEN ALEXANDRA GRADE CONTROL HITS SHALLOW HIGH-GRADE GOLD

Initial grade-control drilling supports shallow mineralisation at Queen Alexandra, with further assay results still to come.

Redcastle Resources Ltd (ASX:RC1) has reported initial assay results from its completed 8,810m reverse circulation (RC) grade-control drilling program at the Queen Alexandra (QA) deposit, around 700m west of active mining at Redcastle Reef within the Redcastle Gold Project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.

The initial assays cover 138 RC holes for 4,385m, representing approximately half of the completed QA grade-control program. According to the company, the results support shallow high-grade gold mineralisation within the interpreted Kestrel and Kestrel Hanging Wall lode positions and will assist with refining lode geometry, local grade distribution, ore-waste boundaries and mine scheduling.

The strongest reported uncut intercepts include:

  • 11m @ 8.55g/t Au from 14m, including 1m @ 67.50g/t Au from 16m (BMRC647)
  • 3m @ 10.05g/t Au from 21m (BMRC704)
  • 4m @ 7.49g/t Au from 30m (BMRC596)
  • 7m @ 3.76g/t Au from 22m (BMRC677)
  • 11m @ 3.03g/t Au from 12m (BMRC618)

Additional shallow mineralised intersections reported include:

  • 8m @ 3.03g/t Au from surface (BMRC690)
  • 5m @ 4.07g/t Au from 5m (BMRC692)
  • 3m @ 5.53g/t Au from 17m (BMRC664)
  • 3m @ 4.04g/t Au from 32m (BMRC569)

The company said 88 of the 138 RC holes returned at least one interval averaging 1.0g/t Au or greater over a minimum downhole width of 2m, with the results broadly consistent with the 2025 mineral resource estimate geological interpretation of a shallow stacked lode architecture across the QA development area.

Mining is underway at both Queen Alexandra and Redcastle Reef under the Redcastle-BML Ventures Joint Venture, with BML Ventures acting as operator. Further QA grade-control assay results remain outstanding and will be reported following receipt, validation and QA/QC review.

Chairman Dr Ray Shaw commented:

These assay results do more than support our pre-program interpretation of broad, shallow mineralisation at Queen Alexandra. They reinforce the rationale for developing Queen Alexandra and Redcastle Reef as part of an integrated development programme.

Together with the remaining Queen Alexandra assays, these results will be incorporated into the refinement of the QA mine plan, with the objective of optimising mining operations and logistics across the combined RR–QA development area.
