PLATINA COMMENCES DRILLING PROGRAM AT XANADU WEST

Exploring for Gold in Western Australia’s Ashburton Basin

Platina Resources Limited (ASX:PGM) has announced the start of an extensive reverse circulation drilling program at the Xanadu Gold Project, situated 45km south of Paraburdoo in Western Australia’s Ashburton Basin. This next phase encompasses approximately 2,900 meters across 13 holes in the western portion of Xanadu, targeting the Amphitheatre West extension, Claudius prospect, and arsenic anomalies at Pompeii. Additionally, three holes will serve as pre-collars for subsequent diamond drilling at the Cleopatra and Caesar geophysical targets.

Mr Corey Nolan, Platina’s Managing Director, emphasized the program’s objective to delineate the structural framework of mineralisation within Xanadu West.

Historical shallow drilling, including Platina’s 2022 RC campaign, has defined an 8km-long gold mineralised corridor at Xanadu West.

The planned diamond drilling could be the key to unlocking the full value of the project, seeking to find the source of gold within this corridor by testing deeper targets identified by reprocessed airborne electromagnetics (AEM) and new induced polarisation (IP) geophysical surveys.
