Magmatic Resources launches RC drilling campaign targeting multiple gold prospects across Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields
Magmatic Resources Limited (ASX:MAG) has commenced Phase 3 drilling at its Weebo Gold Project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields, with a combined 6,745-metre program now underway.
The program includes 1,745 metres of Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling and 5,000 metres of Air Core (AC) drilling, building on results generated from the company’s earlier Phase 1 and Phase 2 exploration campaigns.
RC drilling is designed to advance bedrock targets at several key prospects, including:
- Ockerburry 1 and 3 – targeting bedrock mineralisation beneath extensive supergene anomalies identified through AC drilling.
- Scone Stone – testing lateral and down-dip mineralisation within favourable porphyry host rocks below supergene gold.
- Otto 2 – testing a significant gold intercept beneath Permian glacial cover.
- Sholl’s Find – targeting significant gold shoots identified during scout drilling.
The larger AC drilling component will focus on extending known gold anomalies and testing down-dip mineralisation outlined during previous drilling programs. Key targets include:
- Wheel of Fortune 1 – advancing the prospect towards RC drill readiness.
- Wheel of Fortune 4 – advancing the prospect towards RC drill readiness.
- West Gold – advancing the prospect towards RC drill readiness.
Magmatic said assay results are expected to be released progressively over the next two to three months as drilling continues across the project area.
Magmatic Resources Managing Director, Mr David Richardson commented:
RC and AC rigs are on site and drilling. The RC drilling will test deeper exploration targets within the Weebo Gold Project. A steady flow of assay data is expected to be released to the market over the next two to three months.
