Deepest Turnberry hole reaches visible gold at 632.8 metres as a second diamond rig accelerates drilling
Meeka Metals Limited (ASX:MEK) has reported visible gold in its deepest hole drilled to date at the Turnberry deposit within the Murchison Gold Project in Western Australia.
Hole 26TBRD010 intersected visible gold at 632.8 metres down-hole within a broad shear zone associated with chalcopyrite, pyrite, albite and magnetite. Laboratory assays remain pending and are expected in September 2026.

The company cautioned that visible gold and visual mineral estimates are not estimates of metal grade. Laboratory analysis is required to determine the actual widths and grades of the mineralised interval.
The announcement cited two previously reported intersections from deeper drilling at Turnberry:
- 52.3 metres at 3.0g/t gold from 474.1 metres, including 30.6 metres at 3.4g/t gold and 10.5 metres at 3.7g/t gold in hole 26TBRD002.
- 18.0 metres at 3.0g/t gold from 533.0 metres, including 9.0 metres at 5.1g/t gold in hole 26TBRD004.
These are down-hole intervals. The announcement does not provide true-width estimates for the previously reported intersections.
Meeka said a second diamond rig was mobilised in mid-August to accelerate drilling aimed at extensions to the Turnberry system and its possible deeper source.
Meeka Metals managing director Tim Davidson:
While we await further assays from this drilling, the shearing, visible gold and abundance of sulphide minerals that correlate with higher gold grades in previous drill holes provide strong encouragement.
We have also mobilised a second diamond drill rig to accelerate drilling, targeting further extensions and potentially the deeper source of this high-grade gold at Turnberry.
