High-Grade Results Propel Astral’s Latest Discovery

Astral Resources (ASX:AAR) has revealed promising high-grade gold assay results from its recent drilling at the Kamperman prospect, part of the Feysville Project. Three reverse circulation (RC) drill holes, totaling 217 meters, were completed in the March Quarter, showcasing the prospect’s high-grade potential.

Drilling Highlights Include:

  • A standout 7 meters at 5.81g/t Au from 19 meters, featuring segments of 2 meters at 12.3g/t Au and 1 meter at 10.4g/t Au within hole FRC263.
  • An 8-meter interval at 2.04g/t Au from 32 meters, including a high of 1 meter at 12.6g/t Au from 39 meters in hole FRC264.
  • A 12-meter section at 2.12g/t Au from 69 meters to the end of the hole (EOH) in hole FRC265.

These results add to a series of significant findings, with high-grade assays now returned from ten of the sixteen holes drilled at Kamperman since January 2023. Additionally, the project saw the completion of five lines of air-core (AC) drilling across the western part of the Feysville tenement, further broadening the scope of exploration.

Following the success of this initial drilling phase, a comprehensive 19-hole, 2,459-meter RC in-fill and extensional drill program was undertaken at Kamperman, with assays anticipated later this quarter.

Astral Resources’ Managing Director, Marc Ducler, expressed enthusiasm for the ongoing developments at Kamperman, stating:

The recent Kamperman discovery within our Feysville Project continues to deliver for Astral Resources. On 15 January, we mobilised an air-core rig to site to complete a five-line regional air-core program targeting potential structures in the untested north-western portion of our tenement holding.

Following completion of the program, the same drill rig was converted to an RC configuration to complete 217 meters of drilling in three holes to assist with our interpretation and modelling of the recent high-grade Kamperman discovery.

This three-hole program yielded high-grade assay results in every hole, further reinforcing the exceptional high-grade potential at Kamperman.

A follow-up 2,459 meter RC program was immediately completed at Kamperman with assay results expected later this quarter as we continue to unlock the potential of this growing prospect which we have increasing confidence can contribute potential future high-grade satellite ore feed to our broader Mandilla Gold Project development.
