IS THIS AUSTRALIA’S HOTTEST GOLD IPO FOR 2025?

Leonora Gold & Minerals Limited gears up for a game-changing year

Leonora Gold & Minerals Limited has provided a comprehensive shareholder update, detailing significant advancements in exploration and plans to raise $8 million through an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the second quarter of 2025. With the IPO priced at $0.20 per share, the company is positioning itself as a major player in Australia’s gold exploration sector, leveraging exciting results from its Weebo Tenements in Western Australia.

Significant Exploration Updates

The Weebo Tenements, located across a 40-kilometre prospective strike adjacent to renowned gold deposits such as Bellevue (5Moz), Thunderbox (6Moz), and Agnew/Lawlers/Darlot (>3.5Moz each), have delivered highly encouraging results in the latest geophysical review. Highlights include:

  • Deep magnetic anomalies were identified between 150 and 450 metres below the surface, aligned with strong geochemical results in saprolite averaging 30 metres at 0.5-1.0g/t Au.
  • Geochemical assays revealed concentrations exceeding 100ppm of gold in areas that remain largely underexplored due to the absence of deep drilling (greater than 200 metres).
  • The reviewed magnetic anomalies indicate untapped potential for large-scale deposits, with structural similarities to Tropicana, which has produced over 7.8Moz of gold to date.

The modelling, conducted using high-resolution TMI survey data and historical geochemical records, focused on integrating results from Leonora’s Weebo targets. Anomalies identified span 200 metres in width and 400 metres in length, extending along a 17-kilometre gold-bearing strike. These features underline the area’s potential to host significant deposits, potentially in the 5-15Moz range.

Advancing the Exploration Pipeline

The company’s updated modelling highlights two particularly exciting prospects in the East and West Weebo Tenements, where a deep northeast-trending shear zone intersects magnetic anomalies. This corridor is linked to multiple large orogenic deposits in the region, making it a priority for future drilling.

The Board of Leonora Gold plans to commence deep reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaigns targeting these high-potential zones later this year. These campaigns will focus on confirming the presence of deeper mineralised zones that were overlooked by past exploration efforts due to limited vertical drilling.

Corporate Developments and IPO Plans

In November 2024, Leonora Gold signed a mandate with Perth-based CPS Capital to raise $8 million in funding. The funds will be allocated towards resource definition drilling, continued geophysical surveys, and development studies for the Weebo project. This IPO aims to position Leonora Gold to take full advantage of its highly prospective tenements, laying the groundwork for potential long-term production.

Context and Market Positioning

The Weebo project has drawn comparisons to Tropicana, one of Australia’s largest and most successful gold mines. Unlike Tropicana, which benefited from consistent deep drilling, the Weebo tenements remain largely unexplored beyond shallow depths. This positions Leonora Gold for potential first-mover advantage in uncovering significant untapped resources.

While early in its development pipeline, the project’s scale and structural geology are notable. The high-resolution TMI grid and integrated geochemical data suggest the presence of large, well-mineralised zones, setting the stage for potential discoveries that could rival some of Australia’s top gold projects.
