Strong RC and calcrete results reinforce high-grade potential ahead of major air-core drilling
Indiana Resources Limited (ASX:IDA) has reported further high-grade gold intersections from recent reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its wholly owned Minos Gold Project, part of the company’s ~5,700 km² Gawler Craton Project in South Australia.
Final assays from the remaining two RC holes at Minos have confirmed significant gold mineralisation, including standout results of:
- 4m @ 13.0 g/t gold from 130m (25LLRC005)
- 8m @ 1.2 g/t gold from 83m (25LLRC005)
- 21m @ 2.31 g/t gold from 115m, including 8m @ 4.67 g/t gold from 128m (25LLRC006)
- 4m @ 5.24 g/t gold from 152m (25LLRC019)
- 6m @ 2.33 g/t gold from 168m (25LLRC020)
The RC program successfully extended mineralisation along strike and at depth, with diamond drilling now underway to test for high-grade plunge orientations within the system.
At the nearby Ariadne and Company Well Prospects, infill calcrete sampling returned up to 3 g/t gold, confirming strong gold anomalies and providing key targets for a planned ~7,000m air-core (AC) drilling program.
Indiana remains well-funded with $37 million in cash to support ongoing and planned exploration campaigns across its Gawler Craton tenure.
Indiana Managing Director Matthew Bowles said:
These latest results continue to extend the known mineralisation at the Minos Gold Project, with assays such as 4m @ 13.0g/t gold. Assay results from the diamond drilling, targeting high-grade mineralisation at depth, are pending and we look forward to updating shareholders on these results shortly.
Our infill calcrete sampling at Ariadne and Company Well has further defined numerous gold targets, and returned some highly anomalous values, including an exceptional result of 3 g/t gold. We are excited to be about to commence a major air-core drilling program to test these targets and anticipate this will drive growth targets for follow up RC drilling.
