HORSE WELL AIRCORE DRILLING CONNECTS HISTORIC RESOURCES

Strickland’s Drilling Hints at Larger Mineralisation Footprint

Strickland Metals Limited (ASX:STK) has announced an encouraging aircore drilling result from the southern Horse Well area, hinting at the potential to connect two historic mineral resources. A significant intersection of 36m @ 1.2g/t Au, including 16m @ 2.5g/t Au, was discovered between the Warmblood and Filly SW Mineral Resources.

Key Drill Results:

  • The new intersection is located 3km southwest of the recently discovered Marwari prospect.
  • Warmblood and Filly SW, primarily oxide resources, have seen limited fresh rock exploration.
  • The gold found exhibits a unique geochemical signature, occurring at a granite contact, different from other finds at Horse Well.

The Company remains in a strong financial position, bolstered by the sale of the Millrose gold deposit to Northern Star Resources Ltd for approximately $61 million in July 2023.

Andrew Bray, Chief Executive Officer, said: “The aircore program continues to yield promising results, this time having intersected significant gold mineralisation in an area previously thought to have been closed off to mineralisation.
