RC drilling returns broad gold intersections at Kingfisher and extends mineralisation at Hawk and Swan
Horizon Gold Limited (ASX:HRN) has reported final assays from reverse circulation drilling at the Kingfisher, Hawk and Swan prospects within its 100%-owned Gum Creek Gold Project in Western Australia.
The strongest results came from Kingfisher, where 20 holes were drilled for 3,273 metres to infill a gap in the northern part of the resource and test extensions to the north. Horizon said the results confirmed continuity through the gap and identified scope for further resource expansion.
- KFRC038: 23m at 5.26g/t gold from 188m, including 15m at 7.65g/t gold from 192m
- KFRC042: 45m at 1.24g/t gold from 114m, including 3m at 6.79g/t gold from 114m
- KFRC036: 12m at 2.81g/t gold from 74m, including 6m at 5.26g/t gold from 79m
- KFRC032: 2m at 12.15g/t gold from 52m, including 1m at 23.40g/t gold from 52m
- HKRC026 at Hawk: 12m at 2.30g/t gold from 140m, including 6m at 4.26g/t gold from 140m

At Hawk, three RC holes totalling 552 metres tested a north-plunging mineralised shoot below the current resource. At Swan, shallow drilling returned 16m at 1.84g/t gold from 45m, including 7m at 3.03g/t, and extended lower-grade mineralisation north of the current model.
Follow-up RC and diamond drilling is being planned at all three prospects before resource updates targeted later in 2026. The additional mineralisation is outside the inventory used in Gum Creek’s recently released open-pit definitive feasibility study.
Horizon Gold Managing Director Scott Williamson
Impressive high-grade RC drilling results from Kingfisher, Hawk and Swan highlight the potential for resource expansion close to the proposed 2.4Mtpa processing plant. Follow up drilling is being planned prior to updating the respective resource estimations. Importantly, these resource additions sit outside those included in the recently released Definitive Feasibility Study and will potentially enhance project economics.
