HIGH-GRADE HITS EXTEND CROWN PRINCE EAST MINERALISATION

Strong RC drilling results highlight potential for resource growth near existing operations

New Murchison Gold Limited (ASX:NMG) has reported high-grade gold intercepts from recent reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Crown Prince East Pit, identifying additional mineralisation within the current pit design at its Crown Prince Gold Mine.

The drilling program has outlined extensions to known mineralisation at Crown Prince East, located approximately 300 metres east of the currently operating Crown Prince West Pit. The results support the potential to grow near-surface resources, with mineralisation also extending below the currently planned pit depth of 140 metres.

Key drill intercepts include:

  • 18m at 10.3g/t Au from 54m, including 6m at 29.3g/t Au from 65m (NGGRC1210)
  • 12m at 10.3g/t Au from 34m, including 1m at 42.2g/t Au from 36m (NGGRC1209)
  • 9m at 5.3g/t Au from 31m, including 2m at 17.9g/t Au from 34m (NGGRC1252)
  • 4m at 7.2g/t Au from 42m, including 2m at 12.6g/t Au from 43m (NGGRC1212)
  • 6m at 4.6g/t Au from 48m (NGGRC1274)

Crown Prince East is hosted within a mineralised dilational zone in mafic rocks, with gold occurring in quartz-carbonate veins across a series of sub-parallel, southerly dipping lodes. Drilling has identified two dominant orientations of high-grade mineralisation: an east-northeast striking set dipping დაახლოებით 50 degrees south, and a steeper north-south striking zone. Enhanced mineralisation appears where these দুই orientations intersect.

The program comprised 49 RC holes for 5,365 metres, along with two diamond holes aimed at improving structural understanding. The results reinforce the potential for additional resource definition close to existing mining infrastructure, with scope for future underground access beneath the current pit design.
