Strong intercepts confirm high-grade potential across key Pilbara prospects
Tambourah Metals Limited (ASX:TMB) has reported high-grade assay results from its recent diamond drilling campaign at the Tambourah Gold Project in Western Australia, backed by the WA Government’s EIS Round 30 co-funding grant.
The standout result came from the Tambourah King prospect, where hole TBRD25001 intersected:
- 1.31m at 38.4g/t Au from 82.14m, including:
- 0.86m at 29.8g/t Au from 82.14m, and
- 0.45m at 54.7g/t Au from 83m
- Additional hit of 1m at 2.5g/t Au from 87m
Other notable intersections include:
- Alexandria: 0.2m at 23.6g/t Au from 67.7m in TBRD027
- Young Australian: 0.32m at 5.1g/t Au from 53m in TBRD25031
In total, eight diamond drillholes were completed for 785.4m, aimed at testing beneath and along strike from historic workings at Tambourah King, Alexandria and Young Australian. All holes reached their target depths.
The drilling at Tambourah King targeted the lode structure within the top 100 metres and aimed to build toward an initial resource estimate. Hole TBRD25001 intersected the high-grade gold zone at ~75m depth, reaffirming the system’s potential for further resource growth.
Southern step-out holes (TBRD25020, TBRD25022, TBRD25023 and TBDD004) intersected the target interval but reported only minor mineralisation. Follow-up RC drilling (~1,000m) is planned to in-fill gaps between key sections at ~25m spacing.
Earlier programs have identified localised high-grade mineralisation associated with a steeply east-dipping shear zone, which continues to demonstrate a consistent geometry and significant strike extent.
Executive Chair Rita Brooks commented:
The diamond drilling at Tambourah King has successfully extended the high-grade gold intersections, reporting 1.31m @ 38.4 g/t Au, which confirms our belief that Tambourah King has excellent potential to develop an initial resource with further drilling. Planning is now underway for infill drilling at Tambourah King. At the Alexandra and Young Australian (line of lode 50 to 75 metres east and south of Tambourah King) maiden diamond drill results have also confirmed gold mineralisation. With over 20 gold prospects at the Tambourah Goldfield the company has commenced field work to accelerate the next drill program.
