Thirteen additional holes target resource growth around the 1.28-million-ounce Asupiri deposit
Turaco Gold Limited (ASX:TCG) has reported further drilling results from extensions to the Adiopan-Asupiri deposit at its Afema Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire.
Selected results from the 13 holes include:
- 15m at 4.72g/t gold from 122m, including 6m at 8.71g/t from 127m in ADIDD0049.
- 15m at 3.62g/t gold from 164m, including 6m at 6.26g/t from 168m, and 26m at 1.17g/t from 190m in ADIDD0048.
- 66m at 1.07g/t gold from 77m, including 7m at 4.17g/t from 113m in ADIDD0043.
- 18m at 2.71g/t gold from 113m, including 4m at 9.37g/t from 114m in ADIDD0037.
- 15m at 2.74g/t gold from 146m, including 4m at 7.59g/t from 155m in ADIDD0045.
The company reports mineralised intercepts as downhole lengths and says the drilling orientation was designed perpendicular to modelled mineralisation, with Adiopan downhole intercepts approximate to interpreted true thickness.
Adiopan sits within the Asupiri deposit, which has an open-pit-constrained resource of 1.28 million ounces inside the 4.65-million-ounce Afema project resource. Drilling is also continuing at Anuiri, Begnopan and Woulo Woulo.

Turaco Gold Managing Director Justin Tremain:
Just over a month after releasing the Afema PFS, which highlighted the strong economics underpinning development of the 4.65Moz Afema Project, we are already showing clear potential for further resource growth.
Recent drilling at Woulo Woulo has extended broad zones of mineralisation while defining higher-grade gold zones at depth. Along the Afema Shear, drilling has also extended high-grade mineralisation which remains shallow and open.
Over the coming months, we expect a steady flow of drilling results from Woulo Woulo, Adiopan, Begnopan and Anuiri. This drilling is focused on extending mineralisation and increasing the resource estimates across each of the deposits.
