Bonanza near-surface grades confirmed over 900m at Gawler Craton
Marmota Limited (ASX:MEU) has reported final 1m split assay results from its maiden drilling program at the Greenwood gold discovery within the Gawler Craton, confirming high-grade mineralisation over a 900m strike length.
The results come from within 17m to 67m of surface and build on earlier 4m composite assays reported to the ASX in October.
Highlights from the 1m splits include:
- 109 g/t gold from 26m downhole in Hole 25GWRC046
- 95 g/t gold from 22m downhole in the same hole, part of 33m @ 10 g/t gold from 22m
- 94 g/t gold from 66m downhole in Hole 25GWRC099, within 22m @ 5.1 g/t gold from 49m
Across Marmota’s Greenwood drilling program, 9 intersections returned over 20 g/t gold, while 28 intersections yielded over 10 g/t gold. Around half of the high-grade hits were located between 17m and 27m from surface, with the remainder extending to 67m.
Drilling has outlined a nearly continuous high-grade mineralised system, remaining open along strike. Multiple bonanza-grade zones were intersected close to surface, with strong continuity and thick, high-grade intervals among the best seen in the Gawler Craton since 1995.
