Expanded program targets growing gold opportunity at Cracow
Aeris Resources Limited (ASX:AIS) has more than doubled its drill program at the Golden Plateau deposit in Queensland, following a series of high-grade gold results across multiple lodes within its Cracow tenement package.
Recent drilling has returned significant intersections from the Ferneyside, Sunnyside, South and West lodes, reinforcing the presence of mineralisation around historical underground workings and highlighting potential for further resource growth.
Key results include:
- GPS140: 34.5m at 3.1g/t Au from 184.6m (South lode)
- GPS134: 7.1m at 4.9g/t Au from 130.0m (West lode)
- GPS139B: 6.8m at 4.2g/t Au from 148.2m (West lode)
The company said drilling continues to confirm significant mineralisation within remnant zones adjacent to historical workings, supporting its view that Golden Plateau presents a substantial opportunity both within these remnants and in extensions beyond previously mined areas.
In response to the encouraging results, Aeris has expanded its drill program from 6,400 metres to approximately 14,000 metres. The increased scope is aimed at accelerating a Mineral Resource Estimate and advancing economic evaluation studies.
Executive Chairman Andre Labuschagne
the latest drilling from Golden Plateau strengthens our confidence in the deposit’s potential to become a new ore source for Cracow. High-grade drill results have been consistently reported across multiple lodes, confirming the presence of significant gold mineralisation around historical workings. On the back of these results, we are expanding the drill program to expedite a Mineral Resource Estimate and an economic assessment of the project.
