Early Drilling at Cracow Project Confirms Strong Mineralisation Zones
Aeris Resources Limited (ASX:AIS) has reported encouraging results from the first two diamond drill holes of a 30-hole campaign at its Golden Plateau deposit, part of the existing Cracow mining leases in Queensland.
High-grade gold intersections were returned from the Fernyside lode, supporting continuity of historic mineralisation near the former open pit. Notable intercepts include:
- GPS130 – 5.0m @ 12.7g/t Au from 45.6m
Drilling beneath the old open pit also confirmed a broader zone of lower-grade stockwork-style gold mineralisation, consistent with geological expectations for the Main Lode. Key results include:
- GPS131 – 19.3m @ 0.9g/t Au from 188m, including:
- 2.1m @ 1.3g/t Au
- 2.2m @ 5.5g/t Au
Initial results confirm that expected mineralisation exists within broad vein stockwork zones located between historic mining voids.
Andre Labuschagne, Executive Chairman, said
These drill results are very exciting and confirm our expectations of broad zones of mineralisation remaining around the old underground workings. We are prioritising drilling at Golden Plateau, and believe Golden Plateau has the potential to become a major ore source for Cracow, significantly extending the known life of the operation.
