GOLDEN HORSE EXTENDS HOPES HILL MINERALISATION

Fresh drilling extends mineralisation beneath the historic Hopes Hill pit

Golden Horse Minerals Limited (ASX:GHM) has reported new reverse-circulation and diamond drilling results from the Hopes Hill deposit within its Southern Cross Gold Project in Western Australia.

The company said the latest drilling continues to extend gold mineralisation beneath and along strike from the historic pit, where two diamond rigs and one RC rig have been active. The new results include:

  • 16.6m at 3.4g/t gold from 392.4m in 26HHDD031, including 5m at 9.9g/t gold from 399m
  • 10m at 11.3g/t gold from 116m in 26HHRC147, including 2m at 52.3g/t gold from 124m
  • 21m at 1.5g/t gold from 215m in 26HHRC162, including 13m at 2.1g/t gold from 221m
  • 4m at 7.4g/t gold from 128m and 4m at 3.3g/t gold from 243m in 26HHRC159
  • 7m at 4.8g/t gold from 139m and 2m at 3.1g/t gold from 149m in the extended Greenmount hole 26GMRC009

Golden Horse said 26HHDD031 sits within an emerging mineralised area beneath the northern end of the pit. Recent intersections within roughly 200m of that result include 24.2m at 2.2g/t gold from 378.8m in 26HHRCD077, 8.8m at 4.8g/t gold from 356.2m in 26HHRCD078 and 13.6m at 3g/t gold from 308.4m in 26HHDD009.

The reported Hopes Hill intervals are down-hole lengths. The company estimates true widths are likely to be about 40–80% of the quoted down-hole lengths, with variability along strike.

RC and diamond drilling remains under way at Hopes Hill, with core logging and assaying continuing. The company is also planning aircore drilling across regional prospects along more than 130km of strike on its Southern Cross tenure.

Golden Horse managing director Nicholas Anderson:

Following a busy first half to 2026, where we drilled over 50km of reverse circulation and diamond drill holes in the Southern Cross Greenstone Belt at several prospects, we’ve spent the first few weeks of the second half of 2026 focusing on Hopes Hill, with two diamond rigs and an RC rig actively drilling at depth and along strike.

The initial assays are now flowing through the labs and being returned to our geologists, with excitement building for the next few weeks as we integrate the geological observations seen to date against our conceptual models, providing further evidence that a well-endowed mineralised pod is appearing at depth below the northern end of the historic Hopes Hill pit which was previously limited by tenure constraints.

Most impressively, 26HHDD031 returned 16.6m @ 3.4 g/t Au in a developing area we believe is well-mineralised, with recent results within a 200m radius of 26HHDD031’s intercept also including 26HHRCD077 (24.2m @ 2.2 g/t Au from 378.8m), 26HHRCD078 (8.8m @ 4.8 g/t Au from 356.2m) and 26HHDD009 (13.6m @ 3.0 g/t Au from 308.4m) to name a few favourites first past the post.

With these intervals in mind, hole 26HHDD031 confirms our view that we are beginning to delineate an emerging zone with high metal content proving an attractive drill target for further exploration. As we continue drilling to define the geometry and extent of this zone, we are also excited by the fact that we are yet to find the base of the Hopes Hill mineralised system, demonstrated by the 24.2m @ 2.2 g/t Au mineralised intercept in hole 26HHRCD077 which represents the deepest result to date at 350m below surface and located approximately 100m down-dip of hole 26HHDD031.

Further south, initial assays from 26HHRC162 also returned a 21m wide broad intercept highlighted by a higher-grade core of 13m @ 2.1 g/t Au from 221m providing confidence in the strike extent of the Hopes Hill system. The result from this RC hole has extended the southernmost plunging shoot that daylights into the existing Hopes Hill pit, with follow-up drilling now prioritised to further understand lode geometries with the view to extending this further down plunge to further develop our knowledge of Hopes Hill South.
