GOLD WEEKLY RECAP – AUGUST 10 2025

Your Weekly Snapshot of What’s Making the Grade

Tambourah Metals Delivers Eye-Watering Results at Beatty Park South
Tambourah’s first-pass aircore campaign at Beatty Park South (WA) yielded sensational shallow gold intercepts, including 6 m @ 25.8 g/t Au, with a highlight of 1 m @ 126 g/t Au from BPAC016. Additional results included 2 m @ 6.6 g/t, 4 m @ 15.95 g/t, and 1 m @ 7.02 g/t from nearby holes. Geological signs suggest mineralisation extends below superficial layers, pointing to substantial upside where broader testing will now pivot toward deeper targets.

Caprice Confirms High-Grade Continuity at Island Gold Project
At the Island Gold Project, Caprice Resources reported final Phase 3 RC drilling results at Vadrian’s, expanding the known strike to at least 350 m. Notable intercepts include 10 m @ 10.9 g/t (incl. 1 m @ 63.9 g/t), 9 m @ 14.8 g/t (incl. 1 m @ 33.1 g/t), and 5 m @ 18.3 g/t (incl. 1 m @ 62.6 g/t). New zones at Condenser and West Star were also identified. A well-funded Phase 4 campaign (~20,000 m) is planned to begin in September.

Omnia Metals Expands Salt Creek Project with High-Grade JV Tenement
Omnia Metals (ASX:OM1) entered a 50/50 JV with Hardy Metals over tenement E39/2555 in the Albany–Fraser Orogen. The addition boosts Salt Creek’s footprint to 410 km² and includes the Corvette Project, known for significant historic intercepts: 3 m @ 40.3 g/t, 3 m @ 4.62 g/t (incl. 2 m @ 6.65 g/t), and 3 m @ 3.02 g/t. The new area sits on-strike from Tropicana and exhibits both early copper–gold and late high-grade quartz vein mineralisation.

Red Mountain Unearths Nuggets and Vein Mineralisation at Kiabye
Initial RC drilling at Kiabye (WA) delivered a standout result of 1 m @ 2.92 g/t Au at the Kiabye South prospect. Meanwhile, six new alluvial gold nuggets (total weight 13.1 g, largest 10 g) were recovered at the recently discovered Prospectors Patch. Geological mapping reveals quartz breccia and magnetite-rich structures along a northwest-southeast thrust—with sampling underway to trace the gold’s source.

Weekly Gold Market Highlights

Gold pushed higher to over US $3,490/oz by August 8, marking new record highs on COMEX futures—fueled by safe-haven demand amid U.S.-Swiss tariff controversy (reuters.com). The U.S. administration controversially imposed tariffs (~39%) on Swiss gold bars, rattling global bullion flows and prompting temporary futures spikes above US $3,530/oz (ft.com). Spot prices also rose into the week, supported by rate-cut expectations and sustained geopolitical uncertainties (reuters.com).

Central Bank Gold Buying Surges in H1 2025
Global central banks purchased 3.95 million ounces (123 tonnes) of gold in the first half of 2025, according to the World Gold Council. June alone saw 22 tonnes added—Uzbekistan led with 9 tonnes, followed by Kazakhstan (7 tonnes), while the Czech Republic, China, and Turkey each added 2 tonnes. Poland was the largest buyer in H1 (67 tonnes), with Azerbaijan (35 tonnes) and Kazakhstan (22 tonnes) also major contributors. The buying trend marks three consecutive months of growth in official sector demand despite selective selling, notably by Singapore.

Final Word

WA juniors are firing on all cylinders—Tambourah’s ultrahigh grades, Caprice’s scale potential, Omnia’s strategic JV and Red Mountain’s early signs of structural gold all point to an active and promising exploration landscape. Coupled with gold’s breakout market momentum amid tariff-induced supply reshuffling, record central bank demand, and investor caution globally, exploration and equity sentiment remain bullish heading into the second half of August.
