GOLD DUKE PROJECT ADVANCES TO SCOPING STUDY

Western Gold Resources Sets Course for Production

Western Gold Resources Limited (ASX:WGR) has initiated a Scoping Study for the Gold Duke Gold Project, building on favourable metallurgical and mining studies. The study will explore the feasibility of production based on the current Mineral Resource Estimate of 4.57Mt at 2.00g/t gold. Significant exploration targets in the vicinity hint at an extended mine life beyond the study’s focus. A seasoned study team with expertise in mining operations and feasibility studies has been enlisted to steer the project towards a productive future.

Warren Thorne, WGR’s Managing Director, shared his perspective on the developments:

Our team has identified heap-leach processing as a viable solution for the Gold Duke project providing significant cost benefits. Following on from this, the board has approved a formal Scoping Study on the technical and economic development of the project. With granted mining leases and mining approvals in place we will examine the potential standalone heap leach treatment/development pathway. I am very excited by these latest developments which support our goal to become a gold producer.
