Goldman Metallurgical test results reveal high recoveries and strong extraction rates.
Dreadnought Resources Limited (ASX:DRE) has announced exceptional metallurgical results from its 100% owned Star of Mangaroon Gold Project, located in Western Australia’s Gascoyne region. The tests, conducted on five composite samples, demonstrated strong recoveries using both gravity and carbon-in-leach (“CIL”) methods.
Key highlights include:
- Combined gravity and leach recoveries ranging from 96.7% to 99.5%.
- High gravity recovery, averaging 74.4%, with some samples reaching 85.2%.
- Extraction largely completed within 8 hours, using low cyanide and moderate lime consumption.
These results confirm that the Star of Mangaroon deposit is amenable to conventional cyanide extraction methods, strengthening the project’s potential as a high-grade, free-milling ore body. A scoping study for an open-pit operation is underway, with an initial Mineral Resource expected in November 2024.

These metallurgical results highlight the quality of the mineralisation at the Star of Mangaroon and strongly support our strategy to transform into a self-funded explorer. Initially, this involves a potential high-grade open pit at the Star of Mangaroon where we outsource funding, development, haulage & processing to third parties. We will then look to extend this concept to Popeye, Two Peaks, Lead, Pritchard Well and so on. This strategy allows us to focus on exploration and growth while “outsourcing” our cash-flow generating activities. These exceptional metallurgical results will be included in the initial open-pit Mineral Resource in November 2024 which will be promptly followed by completion of a scoping study.
