New Rockland drilling returns 4m at 4.87g/t gold and deepens mineralised shoots
Dundas Minerals Limited (ASX:DUN) has reported the first assays from its current reverse-circulation drilling program at the Rockland Gold Project, about 40km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
Hole 26RKRC011 was drilled to 234m on Rockland’s southern section and intersected two gold zones below earlier drilling. The principal current-program results were:
- 4m at 4.87g/t gold from 200m
- 12m at 1.25g/t gold from 168m, including 4m at 2.18g/t gold from 176m
- 8m at 0.93g/t gold from 52m in hole 26RKRC012
The assays are from four-metre composite samples and one-metre assays are pending. All reported intervals are downhole lengths; true widths are not known, although Dundas interprets them to be close to the reported widths.

The new intersections extend the interpreted mineralised shoots to about 170m vertically below surface. The shoots remain open down dip, while results on the adjacent drill line support Dundas’s interpretation of a north–south mineralised trend across Rockland.
Dundas also reported a historical Paddington result of 5m at 5.52g/t gold from 114m in hole TLRC042 for the first time. The company cautioned that the historical result provides exploration context and does not establish continuity with the new intersections.
Drilling is continuing as part of a planned program of about 38 holes across the Rockland, Capricorn and Baden-Powell projects. Further Rockland assays are expected shortly, with results from the other two projects due progressively through the December quarter.
Dundas Minerals managing director Jonathan Downes:
This stage of drilling at Rockland has shown significant zones of stacked mineralisation, supporting the geological interpretation and it has significantly enhanced the prospects for Rockland to host significant gold mineralisation. We have tested below the existing drilling on one section and found high grade mineralisation.
While these are composite results, our geological modelling is consistent with stacked shoots that plunge to the east and remain open at depth and with mineralisation identified over 1 kilometre.
