Goldman Verity launches aircore campaign across three key prospects in Laverton Gold District
Verity Resources Limited (ASX:VRL) has commenced aircore drilling at its 100%-owned Monument Gold Project, situated in the Laverton Gold District of Western Australia. The campaign will comprise 19 holes for a total of 750 metres, targeting the Star Well, Triton, and Korong West prospects.
At the Star Well prospect, the drilling follows up on surface sampling that previously returned results of up to 6.17g/t Au. This area is part of the Star Well Greenstone Belt, which includes interpreted mafic volcanic, chert/BIF, and felsic gneiss units.
The Triton prospect will be tested based on its geological similarity to the Fred’s Well target, which has yielded significant intersections in earlier programs, including:
- 24m @ 3.24g/t Au from 44m, including
- 12m @ 6.35g/t Au.
Korong West drilling will test prospective stratigraphy west of the Korong Mineral Resource Estimate, which currently stands at 139koz Au Inferred.
The Monument Gold Project as a whole includes approximately 195km² of tenure, with over 60 additional drill targets yet to be tested.
Aircore drilling is expected to conclude in early May, with samples being submitted to ALS Kalgoorlie for assay shortly thereafter.
