Assays from high-grade gold zones expected by January
Carnavale Resources Ltd (ASX:CAV) has successfully completed an extensional drilling program at the high-grade Swiftsure deposit within its Kookynie Gold Project, located 60km south of Leonora and 180km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
The program comprised 21 holes, totalling 4,798 metres of reverse circulation (RC) drilling and 545 metres of diamond drilling across 8 diamond tails. The primary objective was to assess down-dip extensions of high-grade zones within Swiftsure, with some shoots showing grades of over 30 g/t gold.
Additionally, Carnavale explored the recently identified Tiptoe prospect, located along strike from Swiftsure, and planned for upcoming testing of the Valiant prospect in early 2025.
RC samples from the campaign have been submitted to the lab, while diamond core samples have been logged and are undergoing cutting and preparation for laboratory analysis. Assay results are anticipated by January 2025.
CEO Humphrey Hale commented:
The extensional program went well at Kookynie drilling deeper at Swiftsure. We added some extra metres of diamond drilling due to visual areas of interest encountered in the new drilling. CAV looks forward to the results of this drilling which will help inform the next drill program expected to commence in January.
