Historic drilling confirms high-grade southern extension potential
Adavale Resources Limited (ASX:ADD) has reported strong historical drilling results from its Victoria South prospect within the Parkes Gold-Copper Project, highlighting significant potential to extend the London-Victoria gold system to the south.
A review and compilation of near-mine drillhole datasets has confirmed that mineralisation at Victoria South extends beyond the current London-Victoria Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), with shallow, high-grade intercepts supporting continuity along strike.
The standout result includes a bonanza-grade intercept of:
- 1m @ 245.5g/t Au from 22m (KGC12)
Additional notable intercepts include:
- 17m @ 1.53g/t Au from 12m (KGC10)
- 13m @ 2.25g/t Au from 41m (KGC11)
- 11m @ 2.37g/t Au from 16m (KGC17)
- 15m @ 1.68g/t Au from 36m (KGC14)
The company noted that these thick, shallow intercepts are interpreted as a direct extension of the existing 115koz London-Victoria gold resource, with the near-mine footprint potentially exceeding the current resource scale.
Victoria South is emerging as a priority target, with potential to materially add to the existing resource inventory as further work refines drill targets along the southern strike.
Adavale Resources Managing Director, Mr. David Ward, commented:
The validation of historical drilling at Victoria South confirms the opportunity for a southern extension of the London-Victoria mineralised system, with multiple shallow, high-grade intercepts supporting strong continuity along strike. The prospect fits directly within our evolving structural model, and with drone magnetics extending into this area, we are well positioned to refine targets in advance of drilling.
Victoria South represents a priority near-mine opportunity with potential to deliver additional shallow ounces to support ongoing Mineral Resource growth.
