St Anne’s Drill Results Highlight Exceptional Grades
Meeka Metals Limited (ASX:MEK) has reported high-grade drill results from its ongoing reverse circulation (RC) program at the Murchison Gold Project, specifically at the St Anne’s prospect. The results include some of the highest grades recorded at the site and bolster plans for an expanded Stage 1 open pit.
Highlighted drill results from St Anne’s include:
- 23m @ 26.73g/t Au from 38m, including 10m @ 52.79g/t Au (hole 24SAGC002)
- 14m @ 7.50g/t Au from 59m, including 9m @ 10.79g/t Au (hole 24SAGC006)
- 7m @ 7.84g/t Au from 29m, including 1m @ 48.80g/t Au (hole 24SAGC001)
- 38m @ 1.03g/t Au from 18m, including 2m @ 6.24g/t Au (hole 24SAGC003)
- 17m @ 1.73g/t Au from 80m, including 2m @ 8.04g/t Au (hole 24SAGC013)
These results, particularly from holes 24SAGC001 and 24SAGC002, extend the high-grade zone to the north of previous drilling and support an expanded Stage 1 oxide open pit at St Anne’s North.
Drilling assays have now been received for 49 of the 145 holes completed in December 2024, with the remainder expected in January 2025. RC drilling will continue at St Anne’s, Turnberry, and other Murchison prospects through the March 2025 quarter.
Tim Davidson, Managing Director, commented:
This is some of the highest grades we have seen from St Anne’s and will result in the Stage 1 open pit being expanded to the north where hole 24SAGC002 intersected a 10m zone of bonanza gold grading nearly two ounces per tonne.
Further assays are expected in January 2025 from the remaining 96 holes drilled during the December 2024 quarter. Drilling remains ongoing.
