Shallow intercepts bolster Boundiali drilling push with 100,000m campaign underway
Aurum Resources Limited (ASX:AUE) has reported further wide, shallow gold intercepts from its 1.59Moz Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, supporting its extensive 100,000m diamond drilling campaign planned for CY2025.
New results from 38 diamond drill holes across the BDT1 and BDT3 prospects on the BD tenement delivered standout intercepts including:
- 66m @ 1.07 g/t Au from 33m in hole DSDD0190A, including:
- 21.73m @ 1.01 g/t Au
- 29m @ 1.46 g/t Au
- 71.72m @ 0.72 g/t Au from 187m in hole DSDD0177, including:
- 6.50m @ 1.72 g/t Au
- In hole DSDD0182:
- 3m @ 1.78 g/t Au from 95m, including 1m @ 5.11 g/t Au
- 32m @ 0.76 g/t Au from 107m, including 3m @ 3.73 g/t Au
- 24m @ 0.78 g/t Au from 143m, including 4m @ 3.02 g/t Au
These intercepts highlight the strong exploration upside at Boundiali, where mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth. Drilling is ongoing at BDT1 and BDT3 using eight company-owned rigs, with further assays pending.
Aurum has planned two mineral resource estimate (MRE) updates for 2025, aiming to build on the 1.59Moz Boundiali MRE and include results from other BD, BM, and BST targets. The company has also commenced work on a Pre-Feasibility Study at Boundiali, due by year-end.
At the recently acquired Napié Project, a 30,000m drilling program is scheduled to begin this month, targeting expansion of the current 0.87Moz MRE.
Aurum’s Managing Director Dr. Caigen Wang said:
We’re pleased to report further shallow, wide gold intercepts from BD Target 1 at Boundiali, highlighted by DSDD0190A, which reported wide, shallow intercepts down hole including 66m @ 1.07 g/t Au from 33m (including 21.73m @ 1.01 g/t Au and 29m @ 1.46 g/t Au). These results are from drilling designed to upgrade Inferred Resources to Indicated, test the limits of known gold mineralisation, and incorporate previously unclassified mineralisation into the next MRE update.
