ACHILLES STRIKES GOLD AND SILVER

Australian Gold and Copper Ltd Reports Impressive Precious Metals Find

Australian Gold and Copper Ltd (ASX: AGC) has revealed significant gold and silver intercepts in its latest drilling update at the Achilles site, continuing to strengthen its position in the mining sector with remarkable assay results.

Following an extensive drilling programme that spanned over half a kilometre of strike at the Achilles prospect, AGC announced the successful completion of nine reverse circulation (RC) holes totalling 1,461 metres. This campaign not only extended the strike length of the mineralised zone but also enhanced the quality of the gold-silver-base metal mineralisation encountered.

Highlighted Drill Results:

  • High-Grade Gold and Silver: A standout intercept includes 5 metres at 16.9g/t gold, 1,473g/t silver and 15.0% lead+zinc from a depth of 112m.
  • Exceptional Silver Grades: One of the holes (A3RC030) exceeded the capabilities of the testing laboratory with silver assays reaching a staggering 3,000g/t over a 116 metre interval, necessitating further specialised gravimetric analysis in Canada.
  • Further Impressive Finds: Other notable results include 3 metres at 19g/t gold and 19.5% lead+zinc from 139m, and a peak gold and silver zone reaching 45.0g/t gold and at least 3,000g/t silver over different sections.

AGC’s Managing Director, Glen Diemar, commented on the findings:

Achilles is producing some exceptional grades in the drill bit. The first six holes have produced grades including combined lead and zinc to 38%, gold to 45g/t and silver above 3,000g/t. This silver result is so high grade the laboratory is sending the sample to Canada for further analysis, which is a rare occurrence.

We are extremely happy with how Achilles is taking shape. With drilling now spread across more than half a kilometre of strike we are excited to see how big this can get. I look forward to the results of the next six holes and can already see that Achilles has a prominent future within the Cobar Basin.

As AGC progresses, further assay results are awaited from an additional six holes, which have been expedited due to the promising outcomes so far. This phase of exploration continues to underline the potential for significant gold and silver resources at the Achilles project.
