Goldman Maiden drill hole confirms potential of large-scale intrusive-hosted system in Idaho, USA
Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML) has announced a significant near-surface gold discovery from its maiden drill hole at the Golden Gate Prospect, part of the Horse Heaven Project in Idaho, USA. The drill hole HH-GG25-001C returned a wide intercept of 189.2 metres at 1.30 g/t gold from 34.1m, ending in mineralisation.
This is the first drill hole to test unoxidised mineralisation at the project and is now considered a “discovery hole” for a possible large-scale intrusive-hosted gold system.
Key intercepts from HH-GG25-001C include:
- 12.9m @ 2.32 g/t Au from 94.4m
- 70.8m @ 2.24 g/t Au from 128.8m
The gold mineralisation begins close to surface and spans over 223.4m with several higher-grade zones. According to Resolution, the geology, sulphides, and alteration patterns observed are consistent with large intrusive-hosted gold systems, such as the one that hosts the nearby Stibnite deposit (~6km away).
Identical sulphides have been logged in follow-up drill holes HH-GG25-002C and HH-GG25-003C, with assay results pending.
Additional updates:
- Phase 1 drilling completed with 10 holes totalling 2,770.6m at Golden Gate.
- Further assays expected soon for HH-GG25-001C remainder, HH-GG25-002C, and HH-GG25-003C.
- Batch results from holes HH-GG25-004C to HH-GG25-010C due over the coming months.
Resolution is also preparing for an extensive maiden drilling program at nearby Antimony Ridge, where multiple stibnite veins have been identified during shallow drilling. The project area is strategically located within a critical minerals district important to U.S. domestic supply chains (gold-antimony-tungsten-silver).

Delivering a discovery intercept of 189m of continuous gold from just 34m depth which bottoms in mineralisation in our very first hole is a tremendous result.
What excites us most is that we’ve confirmed a large intrusive-related gold system, the same style of system that hosts major deposits regionally, including Stibnite only 6km away.
With assays pending from the 9 remaining Golden Gate holes, several of which show the same style of mineralisation in visual core, we are building strong momentum. Golden Gate is only one of the multiple standout targets at Horse Heaven, and we believe this discovery hole is the first step in unlocking the broader district-scale potential of this Project.
